  5. Whether a newer alternative materially changes the useful life.

Verdict language

Keep

The device remains supported and a working unit has no clear replacement trigger.

Buy used

Support runway and repair options can justify a purchase after unit-level checks.

Repair

A specific repair may extend useful life, subject to condition and local cost.

Replace

Support, safety, reliability, or repair economics create a concrete replacement reason.

Evidence rules

Manufacturer documentation is preferred. Unknowns remain unknown. Every product page includes a last-checked date. A verdict must be reviewed when a primary source or support schedule changes.
